Counseling and Wellness Services is partnering with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention/Capital Region to offer a suicide prevention workshop on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. via Zoom.

An introduction to suicide prevention, this AFSP “Talk Saves Lives” presentation will include causes of suicide, research on prevention, and what people can do to fight suicide. Attendees will learn the risks and warning signs of suicide, and how together, everyone can help prevent it. Zoom’s “chat” function will be used for Q&A.
In addition, how to take care of one’s own mental health during uncertain times will be discussed and self-care techniques will be shared.
