The Northeast Organic Farm Association (NOFA) is offering an accreditation course in Organic Land Care at the Clifton Park/Halfmoon Library from Feb. 24 through 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
The course is open FREE to Capital District residents thanks to Clifton Park GREEN (Government Rethinking Energy and the Environment Now), whose committee secured a grant to cover the expense.
This 30-hour, 4-day course for land care professionals, master gardeners, property managers and garden educators provides a complete grounding in the principles and practices of creating and maintaining naturally beautiful organic landscapes. Attendees will gain detailed knowledge on ecological soil health, organic fertilizers, mulching, natural pest control, site analysis, organic turf management, storm water management, marketing to the organic marketplace, and more.
