PAID Summer 2025 Internships Available Through the Pathways to Public Health Internship Program!

Opportunities are available this summer with the Pathways to Public Health Internship Program! 

All interested students and recent grads from any relevant field are encouraged to submit their applications right away.

Interns will be based with programs at the New York State Department of Health’s Office of Public Health and Regional Offices. The positions will last 10 weeks from June 2, 2025, through August 8, 2025.  Interns will be paid $20 per hour for up to 37.5 hours per week.  After the first four weeks of working fully in person, interns will be able to telecommute up to 50 percent of the time at the discretion of their supervisor if appropriate for their role. Currently, none of the internship positions offered are fully remote.

The Pathways to Public Health Internship Program expands opportunities to strengthen public health career pathways by bringing together students of all disciplines and academic levels with public health professionals to create a space of exploration, learning, and development. These internships are offered through Health Research, Inc., and funded through the Centers for Disease Control’s Public Health Infrastructure Grant to increase the size of the public health workforce.
