A CBS 6 News segment about recruitment efforts by the City of Schenectady Fire Department featured two Hudson Valley Community College Paramedic instructors. Bob Philip and Tony Caliguire were at the Schenectady Fire Department Open House Saturday morning. To be hired as a firefighter, prospects have to be a paramedic so the duo were there to recruit attendees to our A.A.S. and certificate programs. Paramedic program representatives will be at the next two Schenectady Fire Department open houses, as well.
