Charles Parslow (Fonda-Fultonville/Fonda) threw a perfect game on Saturday in a 10-0 win over Jefferson Community College. He recorded six strikeouts retiring all 15 batters he faced.
In two games this year against Jefferson, Parslow has pitched two shutouts allowing just a bunt in the first inning of the first game shutting down one of the top hitting teams in the region. He now moves to a perfect 5-0 record on the hill and is currently 9th in the nation with a 1.57 ERA. Parslow also had a good week at the plate going 5-14 (.357) with three RBIs and three runs scored.
The Vikings head into their final doubleheaders this week against Fulton-Montgomery and Schenectady on Tuesday and Wednesday, hoping to clinch a spot for post-season play.
