ELECTRICAL WIRING: Principles and Practices

Take the first step in your new electrical career with a 32-hour, non-credit Workforce Development Institute course! The next session starts soon, so read below for details.

Thursday, Dec. 17 & Jan. 7 from 5:30-9:30 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 19 & Jan. 9 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Location: Lang Hall (Troy campus)

*Make-up dates, if needed due to a class cancellation: Tuesday, Jan. 12; Thursday, Jan. 14; Saturday, Jan. 16

The course content includes the following critical topics: performing basic electrical tasks, recognizing distinguishing characteristics of electrical systems and applying design principles and calculations for electrical distribution systems.

With an emphasis on safety, hands-on training in a modern lab setting is provided. For those interested in Photovoltaics (PV), this course also provides the necessary foundation in electricity needed for the PV field.
