Hudson Valley Community College is honored to once again host the regional Poetry Out Loud recitation competition on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. in the BTC Auditorium.
Poetry Out Loud is a national recitation contest for high school students, created by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation, in which students perform their interpretations of works they’ve chosen from a diverse list of more than 900 poems.
The winner and runner-up selected at this event will compete at the New York State finals at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City on March 7. The national finals will be held in Washington, DC, April 27-29, 2020.
