On Friday, May 20, the Troy Police Department in conjunction with other nearby police agencies will conduct a training scenario between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. A simulated bank robbery will be staged at the former First Niagara Bank across the street in the Hudson Valley Plaza.
During the simulation, there will be significant police activity and police vehicles on Route 4, plus a NYS Police helicopter will be flying around and making some nearby landings (NOT on campus). The college’s Public Safety staff will participate in monitoring Route 4 and in the radio communications.
The scenario will not involve the immediate campus. The suspect’s vehicle will flee south on Route 4 toward East Greenbush/Schodack. There should be minimal, if any traffic interruption.
