The Athletic Department is happy to share the outcome of a re-branding initiative. Over the past six months, the department has worked with Summit Athletic Media to update our athletic logos (see below).
During the process, we were able to modernize the letter-mark logo (HV) and make the Viking logo gender neutral. We added a primary logo that incorporates “Hudson Valley Vikings” to enhance our brand identity. We also added a word-mark logo and an HVCC logo.
We will be handing out posters that feature the new look from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 in the Siek Campus Center.
In addition, the McDonough Sports Complex gym floor was redesigned during the winter break. The new floor will be unveiled for Athletics Community Day on Saturday, Jan. 25. Doors open at noon as all fans — students, faculty, staff and the general public — will be greeted by caricature artists, free food, free admission and an opportunity for open skate in the ice rink from noon to 2 p.m. American Idol finalist Madison VanDenburg will sing the National Anthem at the start of the Vikings vs Herkimer Generals basketball games at 1 p.m. (men) and 3 p.m. (women).
Please come out and support the teams and enjoy all the fun activities provided for the day.
Go Vikings!
