President Roger Ramsammy, along with Ainsley Thomas, chief diversity officer, attended the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs community meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Chinese Community Center in Latham. Community leaders from Afghanistan, Myanmar, Pakistan, India, China, Guyana, and several other countries attended the meeting.
Dr. Ramsammy spoke about the Hudson Valley Community College Honors College, the STEM High School on campus, the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) and the Applied Technology Education Center (ATEC), the state-of-the-art workforce training center planned to address a nationwide need for skilled workers.
