President Ramsammy Featured Panelist at Education and Workforce Development Summit

President Roger Ramsammy was featured as a panelist at the Albany Business Review’s Education & Workforce Development Summit in the EMPAC Theater at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on June 15.

The event consisted of a roundtable discussion featuring eight education and business leaders, including President Ramsammy, David William Davis, president of NSH USA Corporation; Annmarie Lanesey, founder and CEO of CanCode Communities; Jeanette M. Moy, commissioner of the New York State Office of General Services; Havidán Rodríguez, Ph.D, president of University at Albany; Martin A. Schmidt, Ph.D, president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Kathleen Skeals, superintendent of North Colonie Central School District; and David Wojeski, CPA, founding partner of Wojeski & Company CPAs, PC.

Each speaker expressed their views and solution ideas regarding the workforce obstacles in the Capital Region. Among other topics, President Ramsammy highlighted the need for investment in workforce training programs, the importance of community colleges, and the pivotal creation of the college’s Applied Technology Education Center (ATEC).
