Presidential Search: Irene Rios, Ph.D., Visits Campus Today, 2/27

Following an extremely successful national search yielding more than 70 applicants, the presidential search committee has selected four finalists for on-campus interviews. Each candidate will visit campus this week to participate in interviews and open forums with a broad range of campus constituents. All members of the college community are invited and encouraged to participate in the process.

Irene Rios, Ph.D., Ammerman Campus CEO/Executive Dean and College-wide Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs for Suffolk County Community College, will be on campus today. Please visit the Presidential Finalists webpage to see her biography and a schedule for on-campus meetings. Open Forum meetings for all faculty, staff and students will be held from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. and 5 – 5:45 p.m. in the BTC meeting rooms or via Zoom. Specific open sessions for faculty, staff and students will be held throughout the day as well; please check the schedule for times. PLEASE refrain from attending sessions other than those being provided for your group, as we want to ensure an open forum for all to ask questions and share concerns freely.

This stakeholder survey has been made available so that participants can provide feedback on each candidate. Survey responses are due by 10 p.m. this Friday, Feb. 28. I strongly encourage you to attend these meetings, where possible, and share your perspective on each candidate through the survey.

As always, thank you for your dedication and commitment to the college and the efforts you make to support our students each and every day.

Sincerely,

Neil Kelleher
Chair, Board of Trustees
