The college’s Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, April 24 and I’m pleased to share my report with faculty and staff.
A big highlight of the month was the April 11 groundbreaking for the Gene F. Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing that drew 140 dignitaries, guests and news reporters. The $14.5 million, 37,000 square foot building, designed by Troy-based Mosaic Associates, is expected to open in the fall of 2019.
The Trustees also were updated on a number of transfer agreements that have been signed in the past eight months, paving the way for our students to continue their education when the leave Hudson Valley. This press release provides details about the new agreements.
The next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees is Tuesday, May 22, 2018, beginning with committee meetings at 4:30 p.m., and the monthly meeting at 5 p.m. or thereafter in GUN 148. All Board meetings are open to the public.
