The college’s Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, Aug. 29 at TEC-SMART, and I’m pleased to share my report and accompanying materials with faculty and staff.
Highlights include:
- Announcement of the new Athletic Hall of Fame members, who will be enshrined on Friday, Oct. 6
- $4.4 million in funding requests for the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Skills (CAMS)
- Campus visit on Aug. 30 by John Pettigrew, National Grid’s Chief Executive; Ken Daly, National Grid’s New York State President, and other company executives, who toured the Overhead Line Worker lab, HVAC lab and solar lab
The Trustees also welcomed Nathaniel Savasta, who will serve as student trustee for 2017-2018.
The Board meets next on Tuesday, Sept. 26. The annual meeting begins at 5 p.m. in GUN 148. All Board meetings are open to the public.
