The college’s Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, May 22 and I’m pleased to share my report, as well as supporting materials, with faculty and staff.
I was delighted to announce news received just prior to the meeting that Bill Fagan was reappointed to a second term on the Board of Trustees by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
More excellent news: The associate in applied science degree in Early Childhood recently received reaccreditation by the National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The seven-year designation confirms the program meets the highest standards of professionalism and teaching.
Lastly, mixed news: For the first time in many years, the students were victorious in the Viking Cup Challenge. Congratulations to captain Nathanael Savasta! Photos from the game are included in the attached materials.
The next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees is Tuesday, June 26, 2018, beginning with committee meetings at 4:30 p.m., and the monthly meeting at 5 p.m. or thereafter in GUN 148. All Board meetings are open to the public.
