
This fall, Professor Tamu Chambers of the History, Philosophy and Social Science Department is hosting a series of radio talks entitled “Higher Education: 21st Century Successes, Challenges, and Concerns” with the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy.
The first of the six segments will air this month. It features an interview with President Ramsammy and Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Development Louis Coplin, who discussed the link between education and empowerment and the significance of higher education for the betterment of not only individuals, but the community at large.
The remaining scheduled talks will focus on stories of student success from Hudson Valley. They include a segment on second chances for veterans, which will air around the time of Veterans Day, along with topics in sociology and stories of student leadership, to name a few.
