Raffle to benefit Ronald McDonald House

It’s time again for the annual raffle conducted by the Capital Cup for Kids hockey league to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Albany. In 2018, Capital Cup raised $166,000, a $52,000 increase over 2017!

Tickets are $5 each or a book of five for $20. The prizes for 2019 are listed here. The drawing will be held on Sunday, May 5, and you need not be present to win.

Please contact Kyle Spiak at k.spiak@hvcc.edu or on his cell phone, (518) 892-8693, if you’d like to purchase tickets.

Kyle is a member of the campus’s “lawns and grounds” crew and also drives the Zamboni in the McDonough Sports Complex during the skating season. He hopes to top his 2018 personal ticket sales total of $2,000 this year!

Kyle’s hockey team — McDonald’s 4 Kids —  is playing in the 2019 Capital Cup for Kids hockey tournament that concludes on May 5. Games are held at Albany County Ice Rink, next to the Albany International Airport, on April 26 through May 5.

The team’s honorary captain is Lyle Joiner, who was a premature birth in 2018. He and his family continue to benefit from the services provided by Ronald McDonald House. Lyle’s dad also plays on the McDonald’s 4 Kids team along with Kyle.
