A friend of mine volunteers at Peaceful Acres Horses, a horse rescue sanctuary, and has put out a challenge to collect $5 worth of recyclable cans or bottles this week that will be used to purchase hay.
This all-volunteer sanctuary rescues horses from kill pens and horses who have suffered from neglect by their owners.
If you have any cans or bottles at home or in your office and would like to donate them for this worthy challenge, I will be happy to pick them up from your office during lunch or after work.
