New York Business Plan Competition — April 4, 2025 — Bulmer Telecommunications Center
Once again, HVCC will host the regional New York Business Plan Competition. Last year, 26 teams from local colleges competed in the regional competition. HVCC was one of the only community colleges in the state to participate. Of the seven HVCC teams that competed, two HVCC teams advanced to the statewide finals held at UAlbany.
For 15 years, the NYBPC has been the leading innovation competition among college students in New York State with over $100,000 in prizes. The winners at all levels of the competition are selected by esteemed judges, including venture capitalists, angel investors, investment bankers, experienced entrepreneurs and leaders from the business community.
Students and faculty from all disciplines are encourage to participate and share their unique ideas and skills. Students may submit an innovative business concept in the following tracks:

- Health & Wellbeing
- Learn, Work & Live
- Products & Hardware
- Safety, Power & Mobility
- Software & Services
