Keynote Speaker: Verdis L. Robinson
National Director of The Democracy Commitment (TDC), a non-partisan national organization dedicated to advancing civic engagement and democracy in America’s community colleges
Verdis was a tenured assistant professor of history and African-American studies at Monroe Community College. He served as Monroe’s TDC campus coordinator since the beginning of the organization, as well as on the TDC national steering committee and on the advisory council for its Economic Inequality Initiative.
