Registration for Fall Community Education courses underway

 

More than 160 classes, workshops and professional development courses will be offered over the next several months as the college’s Office of Community and Professional Education begins its fall season of credit-free course offerings.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20 for the course offerings.

Some of the varied new classes this winter include “Zentangle Zendala,” “Crochet for Beginners,” “Dynamic Styrofoam Wall Art,” “Teaching Physical Science in the Elementary Classroom,” “Food for Folks on the Go,” and “A Survey of Western Philosophy for the Non-Philosopher.”

Programs in computer software, caring for pets, paper crafts, photography, financial planning, business development, music, physical fitness and motorcycle rider training are just a few of the other popular courses also being offered this year.

The college also will be offering more than 50 classes, day trips, tours and activities through its popular Center for Creative Retirement.  More information about Center for Creative Retirement activities may be found at www.hvcc.edu/communityed/fall.
