The SUNY Tools of Engagement Project (SUNY TOEP) has extended its registration deadline to Feb. 28, 2017.
SUNY TOEP is an On-Demand Discovering Learning Professional Development program where the project’s goal is encouraging faculty and staff to explore new technologies with a focus on impacting the student learning experience. Hudson Valley Community College is one of the 21 SUNY colleges and universities to enter Phase 5 of this project.
Since October, the Center for Effective Teaching has been offering this online professional development opportunity supported by the SUNY Center for Professional Development, the University at Buffalo, and Binghamton University.
Any faculty or staff member can participate in these learning activities while earning badges, as well as awards that include SUNY Professional Development Points and iTune gift cards based on peer review. Some of the learning activities include lifelong learning, collaborative spaces, flipped learning, open educational resources, online learning, gamification, social media, and much more.

After completing the online registration form and creating a Google+ account, join the SUNY TOEP community page to start participating in the Discovery Learning Activities. For access to the SUNY TOEP community page, click on the following link, then “ASK TO JOIN:”

Your request will be approved within 48 hours and you will be ready to get started. From there, complete five (5) Discovery Learning Activities on the Google+ community page by April 4, 2017.
