The college’s Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, Dec. 20, and I’m pleased to share my report with faculty and staff.
Highlights of the report include:
- Announcement of a “town hall” meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, with representatives from iFactory, the college’s partner to develop a new website. Board members, students, faculty and staff are invited to share their input during the 2-3:30 p.m. session in the BTC Auditorium
- News of a $100,000 award from the Hearst Foundation to support the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAMS) project
- Recap of the Dec. 9 Meritorious Service Awards and Pinning Ceremony (photographs can be found in the attached supplemental materials)
- A listing of dates and locations for end-of-year-events — that’s the academic year!
As another calendar year draws to a close, I hope everyone shares my pride in all we’ve accomplished in 2016 and is looking forward to another great year in 2017. Happy Holidays to one and all, and thank you for your continued dedication and hard work!
The next regular Board meeting is Tuesday, Jan. 24.
