Students, faculty and staff from two health science departments represented the college at SUNY Day, Monday, Feb. 11, at the state Legislative Office Building.
SUNY Day is the annual university-wide legislative lobbying day at the Capitol. President Matonak and other community college presidents gathered for meetings with SUNY officials and legislative leaders. In addition, each year colleges are asked to showcase an aspect of their institution at a booth in the Well of the Legislative Office Building.
Respiratory Care students Meaghan Leach and Arezoo Teimouri, faculty members Dave Ten Eyck and Ken Riordan and department chair Patty Hyland staffed a booth that explained the college’s Respiratory Care program. Dental Hygiene Department chair Judy DiLorenzo, faculty member Gabriele Hamm and staff member Mary Badger also were on hand also to discuss the Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs.
In addition, Viking Video Technologies was on hand to provide video support throughout the lobbying day.
