Results of Middle States Liaison’s Visit to Campus

Dr. Ellie Fogarty, Hudson Valley’s Middle States Liaison, made a visit to the campus on Tuesday, March 27. During her time here, she met with the president, members of the campus community, the Middle States Steering Committee and College Assessment Committee, the Board of Trustees, and the co-chairs of the self-study.

Dr. Fogarty provided a great deal of helpful advice for best practices as we proceed with the self-study, and the Steering Committee was pleased to note that Dr. Fogarty characterized the college’s design document as, “excellent.” The design document, which is a “roadmap” as to how we intend to conduct the self-study, is the result of countless hours of collaborative effort on the part of the Steering Committee and Working Groups involved in the self-study.

Many thanks to all who took time to attend one of the sessions with Dr. Fogarty. We look forward to a self-study that will not only reaffirm our accreditation status but will also provide an in-depth and very honest look at Hudson Valley’s current compliance with the 14 Characteristics of Excellence as well as directions for our continued improvement.
