Resurrection of Christ discussion on Monday, April 15

On Monday, April 15, Jeff Schoonmaker, physics professor, will facilitate an open student discussion on the resurrection of Jesus Christ at noon on the second floor of the Siek Campus Center during which evidence that Jesus actually did rise on the third day will be critically examined.

Participants will discuss some theories proposed about the resurrection such as whether the disciples stole the body, whether Jesus revived and left the tomb himself, whether the wrong tomb was visited, whether the resurrection is just a legend, or whether the historical accounts are fake news.

Faculty and staff are also welcome to join in. All participants will be given a free copy of Lee Strobel’s detailed analysis, “The Case For Easter.”

The discussion will be repeated at 2 p.m. on April 15 in BRN 107 as part of the regular Monday meeting of the Student Christian Association. (The noon open discussion is independent of the SCA and not sponsored by it.)
