Return To Work
As we kick off 2024-2025, Health Services and Human Resources want to take this opportunity to review the Return to Work process for all employees.
If you are out for five (5) days or more, out for an injury or illness that occurred at work, hospitalization (regardless of days spent in the hospital) or any communicable disease, or public health threat you must report to the Wellness Center (Siek Campus, Suite 270) to be assessed by a member of the Health Services clinical team prior to returning to work. You must provide documentation from your health care provider stating that you may return to work. If you are cleared by a member of the Health Services clinical team, a Return to Work note will be issued to you to be provide to your supervisor, with a copy to Human Resources.
Update on COVID 19
On March 1, 2024, the CDC lifted COVID 19 quarantine restrictions and moved to Respiratory Guidance. HVCC is no longer restricting students or employees from campus for COVID 19. If you are ill or not feeling well, please stay home and do not come to campus. Encourage your students to do the same. However, if you do test positive for COVID 19 and have documentation from a provider stating such, along with the dates that you will be out of work, please submit that to Health Services. In order to be reimbursed (through July 2025) for sick time utilized for COVID 19, you must submit this documentation and report to the Wellness Center (Siek Campus Suite 270) on your first day back to campus for a Return to Work note from the clinical team at Health Services. Students do not need to report their COVID 19 illness to Health Services.
If you have any questions, please contact Health Services or Human Resources.
