The Dwight Marvin Library encourages all students with outstanding library items (checked out before August 31, 2020) to return them to the Library by October 30, 2020. The Marvin Library Learning Commons is open to current HVCC students and employees only, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Items may be returned to the book return slot in the entrance vestibule, or at the Service Desk on the first floor. All current students are required to check in upon building entry and show proof of the daily campus health screening.
The library temporarily suspended its policies regarding due dates and replacement costs during the campus shutdown to avoid any potential hardship on the HVCC community. These policies will be reinstated beginning Nov. 1, 2020, and replacement costs may be charged for outstanding items not returned by Oct. 30. If items are returned after that date, replacement costs will be immediately removed upon return.
Please note that outstanding library fees can prevent you from registering for classes, requesting transcripts, and other important activities. If you incur a hardship from library replacement costs, please contact us at (518) 629-7336 or library-service-desk@hvcc.edu. The Library is committed to student success and willing to work with you to resolve any barriers you may face.
We understand that travel to campus has greatly reduced, and therefore some may not be able to easily return their items. To make alternate arrangements for return of materials, please also reach out to library staff via phone or email.
Cheers to a successful semester,
Amy Hathaway
