North Road from the stop sign at the NW corner of the McDonough Sports Complex to the stop sign at Cross Road behind the McDonough Sports Complex will be closed Thursday, Aug. 29 beginning at 8 a.m. for about two to three hours.
The road closure is necessary to carry out the road work in a safe manner with minimal risk to the construction crew. (If you are parked at that end of McDonough and need to get out, you will be able to do so.)
Once this work is completed, this section of North Road will be reopened and the construction team will move to a second project on Cross Road that is expected to take approximately two to three hours as well.
Cross Road will be closed from the stop sign at the intersection of North and Cross roads behind the McDonough Sports Complex to the stop sign by Hudson Hall. All traffic will be rerouted through the Joe Bruno Stadium Classroom Building parking lots.
All work is weather dependent with a rain date of Friday, Aug. 30.
In total, three speed dips will be installed on North and Cross roads for the safety of anyone who parks along the road and/or utilizes the crosswalk behind Hudson Hall.
