The English, Foreign Languages, and English as a Second Language Department is happy to announce that Rosetta Stone, a powerful learning software that provides students with an immersive, interactive and engaging language-learning experience, is now available to all the Hudson Valley Community College students taking language courses.

Key features of the program include advanced speech recognition technology, speech analysis tools, grammar and spelling components and a milestone feature which simulates real-life situations in which to practice the language.

If you are an Hudson Valley student taking a course in one or more of the following languages:  Arabic, Chinese, English as a Second Language, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian and Spanish, you can have web access to Rosetta Stone for your individual study and as a supplement to your course materials.

In order to receive access to Rosetta Stone, please contact Dr. Natasha Anthony at n.anthony@hvcc.edu.  In your e-mail please indicate your first and last name, your college username, the title of the language course you are currently taking, and your instructor’s name.
