In partnership with the non-partisan League of Women Voters of Rensselaer County, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will host the 2023 City of Troy mayoral candidates for a public forum on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. at the Concert Hall of the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC). A reception will follow.
The forum will feature Nina Nichols, Democratic nominee and current Rensselaer County legislator, and Carmella Mantello, Republican nominee and current president of the Troy City Council.
RPI President Marty Schmidt will begin the evening with welcoming remarks. Lydia Kulbida, ABC NEWS 10 ABC’s evening anchor, will be moderate the forum.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to register online at bit.ly/troy-mayoral-forum (or use the QR code on the attached flyer). Those who register may submit questions in advance to the nominees.
The Troy mayoral election will take place Tuesday, Nov. 7.
