Safe Space Training set for Dec. 1

The Hudson Valley Community College Safe Space Program is to support and empower members of the college community through education, engagement and deliberate dialogue in order to provide an affirming and inclusive environment for all students, faculty and staff.

Safe Space is a 2.5 hour cultural competency training that will educate participants on the LGBTQ+ identity and experience by:

  • Identifying perception and bias around issue of sex, sexual identity, and gender identity
  • Exploring the evolution and limitations of language and terminology
  • Providing information on resources and referrals on campus and within the community

Lunch will be provided.

Staff or faculty that attend could also receive CET credit.
