The annual Race Away Stigma will be held as part of Homecoming festivities on Saturday, September 21. This year, we are expanding our focus to eradicate stigma surrounding mental illness as well as the stigma associated with accessing resources and support across all areas of our wellness, including physical health, mental/emotional health, social health, occupational health, spiritual/religious health and intellectual health.
Stigma is one of the most significant deterrents for individuals seeking support. The more we can talk about promoting one’s overall wellness and encouraging each other to seek help when we need it, the more we can break down the barriers to accessing support. Thank you for joining us in our efforts to Race Away Stigma.
