The annual Meritorious Service Awards and Pinning Ceremony will be held on Monday, March 9 at 3:30 p.m. in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center Auditorium. Meritorious Service Awards were presented for the first time in 1981.
The change reflects the fact that the fall campus calendar has gotten more crowded with the addition of a Thanksgiving Celebration, a major event that attracted hundreds of students, faculty and staff in its first year in 2018. Plus, President Roger Ramsammy will host a Holiday Open House in December.
Therefore, the 2019 Meritorious Service Awards, which recognize Classified employees who consistently “go above and beyond” the routine objectives of their job, will be presented in early 2020 along with pins honoring years of service from 5 to 50 years.
