Second Blackboard Tip of the Week

Here is a second, and extremely importantBlackboard tip of the week!

When you do an import in Blackboard on your home computer, using a residential internet connection, you may experience a delay of 15 minutes or more between the time that you select Submit  to submit your import and the time that your import is actually submitted and queued. This is what you will see if that happens: the page with your import check-list will remain displayed, your Submit button will be highlighted in blue and in the status bar on the lower left of your browser window you will see a message that says “Sending request.”

If this happens, do not try to submit your import again, but rather wait until the page changes and you see the yellow banner at the top of the page that indicates the progress of your import. When you see this banner, you will know that your import has been successfully submitted and queued.

As always, please feel free to contact the Distance and Online Learning Office (629-7070/DLHelp@hvcc.edu) if you have any questions about this!
