Semester-end Cleanout Program for off-campus students

 

The City of Troy and local colleges have partnered to divert furniture and household items from landfill disposal and distribute these items to local families in need. Students moving out of off-campus housing in Troy can place furniture and small household appliances out for curbside collection according to the following schedule:

May 8 & 9 —  between Hoosick Street and Sage Avenue
May 10 – 13 — between Sage Avenue and Congress Street
May 28 – 30 —  both areas

Additionally, textiles such as clothing , shoes and sheets can be dropped off at collection bins in the following locations:

Fire Department Central Station – 2175 6th Avenue (rear alley)
Fire Department Station #1 – 115th Street and 5th Avenue
Fire Department Station #3 – 530 Campbell Avenue
South Troy – Corner of Main Street and E. Industrial Parkway (Alamo facility)
