The softball team (11-3) defeated Fulton-Montgomery Community College (4-8) in a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon. The Vikings won game one, 10-1 in five innings, and won game two, 9-1 in six innings.
Maggie Miller (Maple Hill/Schodack) collected her 10th and 11th wins on the mound, striking out 17 in the two games. Emily Johnson (Tamarac/Wynantskill) led the offensive attack with five hits, four RBIs and six stolen bases on the day, and Abby Coyne (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) added four hits and four RBIs in the lopsided wins.
The softball team travels to Corning on Saturday for a doubleheader at 12 p.m.
