The softball team (7-11) lost to #7 Monroe Community College (19-13), 8-0 and 9-1, on Sunday afternoon.
In game one, Emily Johnson (Tamarac/Wynantskill) broke up a perfect game to go 1-2 at the plate. Shayla Morris (Berlin/Berlin) received the loss on the mound in the shutout.
The Vikings were ahead 1-0 in game two until the Tribunes took control in the fourth inning. Maggie Miller (Maple Hill/Schodack), Sierra Bailey (Hoosick Falls/Hoosick Falls), Lauren Aitken (Maple Hill/Schodack), Katie Traver (Shenendehowa/Clifton Park) and Morris each recorded a hit in the loss.
The softball team closes its season on Tuesday against Finger Lakes starting at 3 p.m.
