The softball team (1-3) split with SUNY Delhi (1-3) on Sunday afternoon, winning the first game 8-3 and losing the second 4-3.
Maggie Miller (Maple Hill/Schodack) picked up her first college win, recording seven strikeouts in game one. Miller also scored two runs to help her cause, and Alyssa Hand (Columbia/East Greenbush) led the Vikings with two doubles and two RBI’s. Meghan Roullier (Columbia/Wynantskill) and Katie Traver (Shenendehowa/Clifton Park) each recorded two hits in the win.
The Vikings came up just short in game two, falling by one run. Roullier led the Vikings with two hits and two stolen bases, and Samantha Mattey (Lansingburgh/Lansingburgh) drove in two runs in the loss.
The softball team hosts North Country for a doubleheader on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
