The softball team (9-6) defeated Clinton Community College (2-12), 21-7, and 27-2, on Tuesday afternoon.
Sam Mattey (Lansingburgh/Lansingburgh) had a huge day at the plate for the Vikings going 6-8 with a double, two triples, a homerun, and grand slam for eight RBIs. Meghan Roullier (Columbia/Wynantskill) went 9-10 at the plate, and Sarah Patzwahl (Chatham/Canaan) added five hits in game two, including a two-run homerun. Kate Brown (Colonie/Colonie) recorded her first homerun of the year, and now moves into second place for most homeruns in a career with eight. Shayla Morris (Berlin/Berlin) and Taylor Kleis (Chrysalis-Juanita/Kirkland, WA) both got wins on the mounds in the doubleheader.
The softball team hosts Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Thursday, April 26 for a doubleheader at 3 p.m.
