Jim Zubrick’s “The Organic Chem Lab Survival Manual,” translated into Japanese and Portuguese for the Brazilian market, and used at many institutions including Notre Dame, Harvard, and even Hudson Valley Community College, will have artwork from the manual included in a chapter of an American Chemical Society Symposium book dealing with safety in the undergraduate laboratory: “Laboratory Safety for All: Accommodating students with disabilities in chemistry teaching laboratories.”
The author, Sheila M. Kennedy C.H.O. is a qualified Chemical Hygiene Officer, and the Safety Coordinator, CHEM Teaching Laboratories, at the University of California, San Diego.
It’s nice to know that “The Organic Chem Lab Survival Manual” is instrumental, even in a small way, in helping special needs students succeed in the organic chemistry laboratory.
