As you may be aware, the college has received allegations of misconduct concerning President Ramsammy. It is important for members of our community to know that the college takes any report of misconduct very seriously. We have clearly established policies and procedures for handling a claim or allegation in a fair and expeditious manner, which we are following.
In the meantime, President Ramsammy will be on administrative leave, and Louis Coplin will act as officer in charge pending resolution of this matter. As many of you know, Louis recently retired from full-time service as Vice President of Student Affairs following more than 35 years of leadership at the college.
We hope to reach the conclusion of this matter as soon as possible, and we will provide an update to the community at that time.
