Please join us in celebrating the opening of the Student Success Center on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 10:30 a.m. in the Siek Campus Center, room 204. The Student Success Center provides holistic support to students in support of basic needs and other social care issues through connections to other on and off-campus community based organizations.
Our SUNY ASAP (Advancing Success in Associate Pathways) program, which is funded through a SUNY Transformation Fund grant is part of the Student Success Center. ASAP is a proven, long-standing student success model that began in the CUNY system and provides financial and comprehensive wraparound supports to students. Currently, we have 159 students enrolled in ASAP and approximately 45 of these students are parents who receive additional funding through the Brightway Foundation. SUNY is working hard to incorporate ASAP into their budget, which would allow us to maintain the beyond our three-year grant and expand upon the program. At the ribbon cutting, you will hear about the value of the program from one of our ASAP students.
Be sure to join us on Wednesday to learn more about the Student Success Center, the ASAP program. After the press conference and ribbon cutting, we invite you to tour the center.
