Students Can Take Advantage of Political Science Sequence

The History, Philosophy and Social Science Department is promoting a core group of courses for students who ultimately wish to pursue a four-year degree in political science, law, political advocacy, government or a related subject.

The new Political Science sequence contains a core group of foundation courses in the subject area. The college also is fortunate to have faculty members with a broad range of specializations so several higher-level elective courses are also available.  Students studying political science at the college during the past several years have transferred to several top baccalaureate institutions such as Cornell University, University at Albany and SUNY Binghamton. Students in the Political Science sequence may major in either the Liberal Arts and Sciences: Humanities and Social Science or Individual Studies degree programs.
