Summer Concerts, Fairs and Street Festivals Outreach Project begins this week!

For the next several weeks Hudson Valley will be part of the fun and festivities at two of the areas free concert series on the Hudson River waterfront.

Every Wednesday, June 5 through Aug. 7 and every Thursday, June 6 through August 8, representatives from the college will be attending the “Rocking on the River” concerts in downtown Troy (Wednesdays, 5 to 8 p.m.) and the “Alive at Five” concerts in downtown Albany (Thursdays, 5 to 8 p.m.). Both concert series are free.

The college’s Summer Concerts, Fairs and Street Festivals Community Outreach Project is designed to assist efforts to encourage enrollment for the summer and fall session. “We want to be present throughout the summer at events and activities where there are opportunities to share information and encourage enrollment for our second summer session that begins July 1, and/or the fall semester, that begins Sept. 3,” said Louis Coplin, interim vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Development.

The college will also be participating in other community resource days, carnivals and fairs throughout the summer. If you know of an event, or are a member of an organization that will be hosting programs that invites vendors or sponsors, please call the Admissions Office, (518) 629-7309.
