Called upon to provide video production support for Chancellor Nancy Zimpher’s initial Strategic Planning sessions around the state, Viking Video Technologies is finding itself more in demand by the State University’s central administration.
A VVT remote production crew on Jan. 6 provided video and multimedia support for SUNY’s second convening of their Strategic Plan’s Phase VI Initiative. So far in January, the event was the third of six contracted remote productions with SUNY for VVT. This week, another VVT crew will travel to the Levin Institute in New York City to produce a similar event (three day multimedia and video coverage of the January SUNY Board of Trustees Meeting and their sub-committee meetings).
SUNY administrators must have been impressed by VVT’s quality work because they asked VVT to provide video production coverage for SUNY’s first “State of SUNY Address,” in the Swyer Theatre housed in the Egg at the Empire State Mall in Albany. They also may be providing statewide pool video coverage for this event.
“To be requested to provide production support for this event shows an impressive level of commitment and trust by SUNY in our VVT staff,” said Bob Racette, director of instructional technologies and VVT. “I’m very proud of all of our staff in the department for helping to provide outstanding services, not only to our external clients, like SUNY, but also to all of our on-campus clients.”
