SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras on Wednesday used the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center as the backdrop for an announcement that the state’s EOCs will begin automatically enrolling students into the SNAP benefits program.
Following the announcement, the Chancellor visited the Hudson Valley campus where he met with Health Science students training to serve as COVID-19 contact tracers, toured the Science Center and visited the college’s vaccination site. Malatras also visited the college ice rink, which is being used as a NYS Homeland Security COVID-19 Test Assembly Site.
Media Coverage:
Great visit w/@HudsonValleyCC today. Student & staff testing, distribution site for state testing locations, students are serving as contact tracers, and so much good work being done.
