SUNY COVID-19 Impact on Employees Survey

SUNY will be administering a COVID-19 Impact on Employees Survey, beginning on Thursday, July 30. The survey will be distributed via email.

The goal of the COVID-19 Impact on Employees survey is to evaluate the impact the transition from an on-campus to a remote working environment had on faculty and staff.

The survey will enable faculty and staff to advise their campus of the difficulties they experienced during and after the transition to remote work. This assessment will also afford the campus the opportunity to gain an understanding of what resultant services faculty and staff may need and how academic continuity was affected.

This valuable feedback will also inform plans for SUNY System and SUNY campuses on how to improve their processes in the future and help SUNY campuses to provide a safe learning and working environment for their students, faculty, and staff.

SAMPLE EMAIL LETTER FROM SUNY
The sample email letter from SUNY inviting survey participation is below. The actual survey invitation will be administered through your email beginning on Thursday, July 30.

The safety and well-being of everyone working and attending one of our campuses is SUNY’s first priority. This is why all SUNY campuses transitioned their courses and work environments to remote formats in response to the outbreak of COVID-19. We realize that this had a profound impact on the lives of many of our students, faculty, and staff.

The link below will take you to SUNY’s COVID Impact on Employees survey. The intent of this survey is to gather information about how the measures SUNY took in response to the COVID-19 pandemic impacted your ability to do your job. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete, and your participation is voluntary. You may choose to skip questions or stop responding at any point. Your answers are confidential and will only be reported in aggregate at a group level, never at an individual level.

Thank you in advance for your honest feedback and responses. Your participation will help make our campus community a better and safer place to study, work, and learn.
