SUNY invites students, faculty and staff on all its campuses to participate in a national day of service honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Jan. 20, 2014 commemorates the peace-leading and service-filled life of one of the world’s most iconic figures. In honor of Dr. King’s legacy, SUNY is encouraging campuses statewide to facilitate and deepen community engagement and volunteerism during this national day of service.
SUNY has compiled a list of events and service opportunities by region. Volunteers can participate in a variety of local events and activities scheduled throughout the region; additional activities will be announced during the semester.
