SUNY New Paltz looking for future female engineers

 

The SUNY New Paltz Division of Engineering Programs is hosting an engineering camp, TINKER, this summer for high school girls. TINKER is designed to expose girls incoming 9th -11th grades to different disciplines of engineering while debunking common misconceptions about engineering that prevent women from entering this field.
Camp activities include:
Hands-on projects
Teamwork exercises
Tours of local engineering companies
Connecting with peers

August 1 – 5, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • For incoming 9th-11th grade high school female students
  • Fee: $400
  • Registration is now open! Register at TinkerGirls.org, select “SUNYNew Paltz” as the program.
  • Registration closes by July 8.
  • Banquet, closing ceremony on Friday evening for parents
